Schneiderman Bat Mitzvah

Get your tickets for the best show in town! The Temple Israel of Hollywood was transformed into a circus delight for the celebration of Stella’s Bat Mitzvah. From stilts to clowns and everything in between. The children got to stock up on sweets and laugh to the humor and music provided on the dance floor — this event was every child’s dream!

Red drapings filled the room to mimic the tent-layout of a Ringling circus. You are welcomed into the room with bright, colorful lights and bold decor. Seating consisted of striped couches with black and white foot rests. The main floor showed star silhouettes outlined from the lighting team and complimented the design on the big screen: A Fair to Remember, Stella’s Bat Mitzvah.

The wonderful world of a child’s imagination was made into a reality with the help of LA Circus by Dortons and stunning planning by Julia Hewitt at One Events. Flocks of balloons rose from each table with statues of circus animals. A child’s favorite could be the giant horse statues that gleamed proud in front of a large arrangement of yellow and red balloons. Entertainment and circus fun was brought by Troubadour Theater Co.

Alex & Jon: Golden Wedding at the Merv Griffin Ranch Estate

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Alex and Jon celebrated their love with friends and family at the Merv Griffin Ranch Estate in La Quinta, California. Kristeen LaBrot Events inspired the beautiful decor and design of the event and every moment was captured by the talented team at Next Exit Photography.

The couple took their wedding to the next level with elegance with the overflowing decor and black and white attire. The bridal party accompanied the bride and groom in all-black attire. The bride stunned the crowd in a mermaid-style Inbal Dror gown. With an all-white bouquet as a staple, she finished her look with the beautiful roses in hand and her hair golden hair flowing down her lacey, white dress.

This dessert set-up help make the moment even more magical with the backdrop including tall palms trees framing the altar and silhouettes of the mountain filling the skyline. A wooden altar stood before the long mountains with white drapes and a gorgeous arrangement of white roses. Down the aisle, rose petals were scattered on the ground. Details of the theme could be described as “a palette of white, cream and greenery with gold accents into a design that evokes a classic, romantic and organic aesthetic. We used clean lines and geometric patterns to tie in the feel of Palm Springs and the venue. For example, the escort card tiles mimicked one of the patterns in the doors of the venue.”

Dalit & Jordan: Romance at the Fairmont Miramar

By | Uncategorized, Wedding Inspiration, Weddings and Special Events | No Comments

Dalit & Jordan held their gorgeous wedding in Santa Monica, California, planned by the talented team at Lady Liberty Events and La Boheme Event Planning.

Their love story began when the two met outside a bar in West Hollywood. All it took was his French Accent to win her over. Fast forward to their planned trip to Paris, where the couple was to make an appearance for another wedding. Jordan decided to make this trip a little sweeter by taking a surprise detour to Israel, the bride’s birthplace.

The emotional trip involved reconnecting with family, visiting old stomping grounds and enjoying romantic dinners with her then-boyfriend. An unforgettable moment brought the couple to their hotel room where it was decorated with rose petals, candles, champagne, and strawberries. This was the moment where Jordan would ask Dalit to be his wife.

Their romance is comparable to a fairytale love story and lucky for friends and family, the couple decided to share their love with a festive celebration at The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. From invitations by Prim & Prixie and matching bridesmaid dresses, their theme was embodied with a gorgeous all-white and rose-gold accent color. Nothing but florals decorated the wonderful venue while the bride made her way toward her groom.

“Excited to get the party started, Dalit and Jordan wanted guests to enter the ballroom and head directly to the dance floor. With the room dimly lit in hues of toasted amber and rose gold, along with the shimmering effects from the incredible disco ball installation overhead, guests were beckoned to the dance floor. Starting the night off with a quick dance set, everyone was on their feet when Dalit & Jordan made their grand entrance, then leading their guests into The Hora. The band, performing in front of a cascading display of dimly lit felini bulbs, definitely knew how to keep the dance floor packed!” – Dalit, Bride.

The entire night was a party and the couple decided to end it appropriately, with a CONFETTI bang! See below for more fun photos from their magical night.

We are so happy to share this wedding at Alexandria’s Ballroom was featured on Carats and Cake. Lily and Jonny’s wedding was gorgeous and inspiring. We are happy to have been able to share a part of their big day.

Carats and Cake is an online source for your wedding inspiration. They describe themselves as “the best of weddings, so you can discover the best of vendors.”

Formerly used by Charlie Chaplin during his wedding in the 1920’s, Lily & Jonny chose the Alexandria’s Ballroom as their stunning space to say their “I Do’s.” Spacious and romantic, this venue created the perfect ambiance to combine with the romantic and rustic design chosen by the couple. Lighting was provided by various choices of chandeliers and small disco balls. This lighting change helped take their amorous ceremony to an exuberant celebration for their reception.

An inspiring staple was their flower wall that was used to separate decorated tables in the ballroom. The flower wall was a tall, green border that highlighted sections of white roses. Each table was covered with a white and gold combination and centered with cream florals.

Jess & Brian’s Wedding at the Casa Elar

By | Wedding Inspiration, Weddings and Special Events | No Comments

Jess and Brian had a gorgeous ceremony at the Casa Elar at the Ojai  Valley  Inn and  Spa. Planned by Kristin  Banta Events and captured by Braedon  Photography, their wedding was nothing short of inspiring.

Their wedding day was joined with a guitarist who played as guests entered the garden for the ceremony. Space included turquoise gates and washed wooden vineyard chairs.

“Following the ceremony,  guests were driven via golf cart to the  Hacienda Plaza and Foyer for a decadent cocktail hour accompanied by a guitar trio setting a John Mayer-style tone. As they entered  the plaza, guests were offered tray passed  mocktails along with 3 types of sangria – peach-basil,  strawberry-pink grapefruit-rose and house-infused pineapple  vodka – florals accented each tray.” – Kristin Banta, planner.

During the entire celebration, guests were able to enjoy a very earthy, yet entertaining, theme. The ceremony had a natural flair, while the reception stood with the rustic theme by incorporating a lot of wooden decors.

“Inspired  by Nashville  and the groom’s  closet love for country-western,  the interior foyer offered a spirit-sapping  bar from a wooden bar and iron and wood circular  back bar shelving unit styled with terrariums and western  inspired decor, complete with iron and wood bar stools and  a chalkboard menu.” – Kristin Banta, planner.

Another great feature was the bar that featured custom cocktail napkins. Additional seating included a masculine fireplace lounge vignette with a cowhide rug, weathered leather and upholstered club chairs, wooden stools, a steamer trunk and wood stump side tables. These were embellished with herb arrangements and candlelight on side tables, the coffee table, and the mantle.

The stunning gold room was made special for every lovely couple celebrating their union with friends and family.

“I love seeing all my favorite people dancing under the nine disco balls. Somehow we were able to make a tent (without a pitch!) to fit over the dance floor, where people huddled, danced, and gossiped.” – VOGUE.

Walls were lined with strung linens and windowed the hanging headlights. Family and friends were able to enjoy the music by dancing under gold disco balls. The white walls were nothing shy of luxurious and grace with the gold tint presented through its lighting and decor.

“I haven’t stopped holding Jonny’s hands since…” – Bride.

Rina & Daniel at the Beverly Wilshire

By | Wedding Inspiration, Weddings and Special Events | No Comments

Follow this inspiration for the gorgeous wedding held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Southern California. Rina and Daniel celebrated their union with friends and family at their elegant ceremony held between the walls of the draped hotel.

beverly wilshire hotel, the lighter side,The decorated room of the ceremony was clothed in ivory drapes provided by Latavola Linen. It created the perfect backdrop for the tall greens that added an effeminate, yet bold, ambiance. The spotlights added in by The Lighter Side stress an honorary focus down the aisle. The front of the aisle held its opening with the drapes being held on each side to mimic a frame-like entrance. This set up ensured that every person would be looking toward the bride as she made her way to her husband-to-be.

The white carpet acted as the aisle which led to the chuppah also decorated in popping florals. Each step the bride would take down the white carpet was greeted with the most lucious white roses arranged in a white vases. The separation of color came from the large greens that added volume to the large, potted roses. The bride finally made her grand entrance, walking arm-in-arm with her parents, each carrying a lit candle. She walked toward the entrance of the room that was lined with layers of draping linens and the perfectly decorated chuppah.

Soft drapes and bold florals were not in the reception. Each table was dressed in large bouquets that matched the arrangements from the ceremony. The dance floor had the distinct set-up with a flower wall that divided the dance floor. The entire room had a romantic dim from the spotlights that gleamed between the drapes that prettied up each wall.
