Jess and Brian had a gorgeous ceremony at the Casa Elar at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. Planned by Kristin Banta Events and captured by Braedon Photography, their wedding was nothing short of inspiring.
Their wedding day was joined with a guitarist who played as guests entered the garden for the ceremony. Space included turquoise gates and washed wooden vineyard chairs.
“Following the ceremony, guests were driven via golf cart to the Hacienda Plaza and Foyer for a decadent cocktail hour accompanied by a guitar trio setting a John Mayer-style tone. As they entered the plaza, guests were offered tray passed mocktails along with 3 types of sangria – peach-basil, strawberry-pink grapefruit-rose and house-infused pineapple vodka – florals accented each tray.” – Kristin Banta, planner.
During the entire celebration, guests were able to enjoy a very earthy, yet entertaining, theme. The ceremony had a natural flair, while the reception stood with the rustic theme by incorporating a lot of wooden decors.
“Inspired by Nashville and the groom’s closet love for country-western, the interior foyer offered a spirit-sapping bar from a wooden bar and iron and wood circular back bar shelving unit styled with terrariums and western inspired decor, complete with iron and wood bar stools and a chalkboard menu.” – Kristin Banta, planner.
Another great feature was the bar that featured custom cocktail napkins. Additional seating included a masculine fireplace lounge vignette with a cowhide rug, weathered leather and upholstered club chairs, wooden stools, a steamer trunk and wood stump side tables. These were embellished with herb arrangements and candlelight on side tables, the coffee table, and the mantle.
